TULSA, Okla. -

All incoming international travelers will be required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test before boarding their flight.

It is important to note this change does not impact domestic flights, like many of those leaving Tulsa International Airport.

The new executive order is just limited to international flights.

As of Tuesday morning any traveler, whether you're a U.S. citizen or not, flying into the United States from overseas, must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test that's been administered within three days of your flight to the U.S.

This is just one piece of the new outlines President Biden has signed this week regarding travel; other measures include barring all flights from 30 countries.

White House Press Secretary Jen psaki said this measure has always been necessary.

"[President Biden] has supported [this] even before he was inaugurated--steps and travel restrictions to keep the American people safe to ensure that we are getting the pandemic under control. That's been part of his policy," Psaki said.

Many countries are still not letting Americans in without a mandatory two week quarantine; but if you do plan to travel, testing can be done at Tulsa International Airport.
