Here are six things to know before you set your alarm for Wednesday.
.MOURNING A TEAM: Wednesday marks 20 years since the OSU plan crash. Ten members of the basketball team and staff died when the plane crashed in Colorado during a snowstorm.
.VACCINE QUESTIONS? The Deputy Commission with the state department of health will give an update. He will answer questions about the vaccine rollout, online schedule portal and other COVID topics at 1:30 p.m.
.PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE: The Tulsa City Council meets Wednesday and is expected to talk about the pedestrian bridge over the Arkansas River that’s stirred up a lot of talk. Some want the 200-year-old bridge to stay, but the city says it won’t last much longer and needs so many repairs that the work would cost about the same as building a new one.
.SCHOOL QUESTIONS: If you missed it Tuesday, there’s one more virtual enrollment expo for Tulsa Public Schools. Parents, students and the community can hop online from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. to ask questions about all 77 schools for pre-K through high school.
.NEW ADMINISTRATION: On the national level, Senate committees are considering President Biden’s nominations for VA Secretary, Energy Secretary and US Ambassador to the United Nations Wednesday.
.THUNDER V. CP3: An interesting hook on Wednesday’s Thunder game. It’s the first time the team will play against Chris Paul, who they traded to the Suns this past offseason. Tip off is at 8 p.m.
