Kenosha, Wisconsin is using a dark part of its recent past to paint a colorful future.

A new art exhibition titled "All You Need Is Love" is being created from the plywood boards which once protected Kenosha businesses during last summer's riots.

The boards are being decorated by local artists to make sure this part of Kenosha's history is not forgotten.

Haven Wells, the owner of Havenly Arts Studio said, ""It really felt like a fresh start, like heading in a new direction, a little bit of clarity, a little bit of closure."

The artists involved say they hope the exhibit brings a loving, uplifting message out of a negative period on Kenosha's timeline.
