Girl Scouts in our community picked up more than 182,000 boxes of cookies to sell over the weekend.
Parents and staff loaded the 15,000 cases of cookies into cars on Saturday. Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma say cookie season will start strong even in a pandemic.
"We are moving to more options online for the girls, but we definitely know that customers are still interested because the orders have been coming in for sure," said First Scouts Director of Product Programs Celeste Franklin.
Both online and in-person cookie sales begin on February 12th.
Also starting Monday you can now find Girl Scout cookies online and have them shipped to your door. The Girl Scouts have launched a new "cookie finder" website where you can put in your zip code to find a local troop to order your cookies. They'll then be packaged up and shipped to your house.
Girl Scouts also says Grub Hub will deliver cookies in some markets but Grub Hub says they'll be adding more markets as the season goes on.
