6 Things To Know (Feb 2): Impeachment Trial Next Steps & Groundhog Day

Here are six things to know before you set your alarm for Tuesday.

1.IMPEACHMENT TRIAL UPDATE: Tuesday is the deadline for former president Donald Trump’s legal team to respond to the article of impeachment against him, and for House of Representatives impeachment managers to submit their pre-trial brief.

2.TREASURER FORUM: Two candidates running for the open seat of Tulsa County Treasurer are taking part in a forum at the Tulsa GOP headquarters. You can also watch on the GOP Facebook page. The election to replace Dennis Semler is a week from Tuesday.

3.SHIFT TO ONLINE: Locust Grove students will move to distance learning for the rest of the week. The district said more than 150 students are in quarantine and more than 15 staff members have either tested positive or are in quarantine.

4.FOOD GIVEAWAY: Food on the Move will return to pass out a week’s worth of food to people in need. They will be at OSU Tulsa in parking lot A from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

5.BOAT SHOW: The Tulsa Boat, Sport and Travel Show returns to the River Spirit Expo Square. General admission is $10, kids 12 and under are free. The event runs through the weekend.

6.WILL HE SEE HIS SHADOW? It’s Groundhog Day. Will there be six more weeks or winter or an early spring? We’ll all be waiting to see if Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow Tuesday.
