At the state capitol Monday night, House Democrats hosted a memorial for the 3,547 Oklahomans who have died from COVID-19.
“It is our charge to continue to fight this virus. And to continue to advocate for those who are still fighting, and for those whose families have lost the ones they love,” representative Melissa Provenzano (D) from Tulsa said.
Several speakers at the mostly-virtual event said they hoped it offered a chance to heal for families who have lost loved ones to the pandemic.
