Deputies: 1 Hospitalized After Home Invasion Turned Shooting

Tulsa County Deputies are investigating a shooting that happened Tuesday night on W 3rd Street near 49th W Avenue.

Officials said this was a home invasion that turned into a shooting. Deputies said a man has been taken to the hospital but is expected to survive.

Deputies said a woman called 911 and said she was home when a man tried to break in so she shot him in the chest.

Officials said there is a history of calls for domestic disturbances at this house and they believe the shooter and victim know each other.

"Here at this location, we do have a history of domestics. The shooter and person who was shot know each other. We believe it's a girlfriend ex-boyfriend type of situation," Tulsa County Deputy Justin Green said.

Deputies said both people are cooperating as they are being questioned and nobody is in custody at this time.
