Starting on Wednesday, Muskogee Public Schools will move to non-instructional snow days.

The non-instructional snow days will be Wednesday through Friday, Feb. 19th.

Superintendent Dr. Jarod Mendenhall said they understand the rolling power outages and winter weather are making virtual instruction difficult.

“MPS understands that rolling electrical outages and the extreme weather conditions are making it difficult to consistently continue with virtual instruction,” said Superintendent Dr. Jarod Mendenhall. “Therefore, we will complete virtual instruction today and will be taking the next three days as snow days which will be made up at the end of the school year.”

Officials said students should check their school emails for more information.

Officials stated "more information regarding the calendar and make-up days due to the snow days taken will be announced in the future."
