Bartlesville first responders started the morning with a scare as power outages caused their dispatch center to shut down to just one running phone.

Police said they were able to get it back up and running after about three hours. The road crews in Bartlesville have cleared roadways so they are passable.

“Often times in crisis we find out where our weaknesses are. We certainly found some weaknesses today that we will have to improve upon going forward. So, when this happens again, and we know it will, we will be better prepared. All in all, the city of Bartlesville has done a heck of a job,” Bartlesville Police Chief Tracy Roles.
