Gallagher-Iba Arena saw a home win Tuesday, as freshman star Cade Cunningham led the Cowboys to a 22-point win over Iowa State, 76-58.
A recent criticism of Cunningham has been his lack of production in the first half, but that was not the case Tuesday. Cunningham came out to a strong start, hitting 15 of his 21 points in the first. He finished with five rebounds and seven assists.
Cunningham wasn’t the only one to put up substantial points, as Kalib Boone had 15 and Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe had 17.
OSU held Iowa State to just 33% from the field, while the Cowboys shot 46%.
The Cowboys stand at 7-6 in the Big 12 and are set to face #2 Baylor on Saturday at 8 p.m.
