Rural Water District 13 Shutting Off Water To Some Areas Due To Winter Weather

Some people in Okemah don't have water, due to some problems at the city water plant. The city is giving out water at the Okfuskee County Fair Barn.

According to the Cookson Volunteer Fire Department, Rural Water District 13 will shutting off water to some areas.

This is due to the winter weather and high usage.

The Cookson Volunteer Fire Department said in a Facebook post that "all Dry Creek area, Blue Top Road and Hwy 82 South of Blue Top Road" area will be impacted.

Fire officials also said "due to the water outage the fire station will be open from 1 to 5 for distribution of bottle water for those affected by the water outage."
