OHP: Man Arrested After Leading Troopers On Overnight Chase

Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a man is in jail after he led troopers on a chase early on Monday morning.

OHP told News On 6 that shortly after midnight officers attempted to pull a man in a Chevy Suburban over after he failed to yield near Admiral and Mingo. According to officers, that was when they said he drove away and began to lead them on a chase through the area.

Authorities said the man drove west through the Walmart parking lot off of Memorial, then through the intersection and down Admiral to the Captain D’s parking lot, where he drove into a ravine between their parking lot and I-244.

According to troopers, he bailed from the car and started to run away, but they quickly caught and arrested him. They said they later found out the SUV was stolen.

Currently, the suspect's name has not been released. at this time.
