Bristow students will be out of school Monday, so teachers and staff can get the COVID-19 vaccine.

Bristow Middle School principal Lawrence Seachris said the vaccines will be available to Bristow teachers and staff on Monday at the technology center in Drumright thanks to the Creek County Health Department.

Seachris said they have had a successful year and are following COVID-19 guidelines such as wearing masks and physical distancing, but it will be a relief for teachers who are ready to receive the vaccine.

"Our teachers have been great,” Seachris said. “They've been courageous. They've been patient. They've worked extremely hard throughout our district. I think it means a lot to those wanting to get that shot and have the confidence in what we're doing.”

Students will make up the school day later in the year.
