Tulsa Police Investigate After Man Shot By Security Guard At Cityplex Towers

Tulsa police are investigating a shooting at the Cityplex towers near 81st and Lewis on Monday morning. According to officials, officers responded to a call from a security guard around 6 a.m. about a man who had been acting erratically. Police said that a confrontation between the man and a security guard led to the security guard shooting the suspect in the leg. The man who was shot drove off and was eventually found by police at a Tulsa Casino

Tulsa police on Tuesday morning are investigating a shooting involving a security guard at the Cityplex Towers near East 81st Street and South Lewis Avenue.

According to officials, officers received a call about a disturbance around 6 a.m.

Police said that a security guard had confronted a man in the parking lot of the building and asked the man to leave the premises. According to the police the man and the security guard got into a disturbance.

Police said that the confrontation led to the security guard shooting and hitting the man one time in the leg. The man then got into his car and drove off.

Officers eventually found the man at a nearby casino and he was transported to St. Francis Hospital by EMSA.

Tulsa fire officials who had been treating the man at the casino said that the man had not been shot in a major artery.

The security guard was uninjured in the altercation.
