A vehicle then caught fire several hours after a driver crashed it into a utility pole on Wednesday night.
According to officers, the driver swerved to avoid hitting an animal when they went off the road, hit a culvert, and then hit a utility pole near 13th and 145th East Avenue.
The driver was uninjured, but hazmat crews were called to the scene to remove pool chemicals from the van. A wrecker then took the van to the family's home where it caught fire about three hours later.
The driver's father noticed the fire after he woke up and saw flames outside.
The fire spread into a small grass fire, but Tulsa firefighters were able to put it out.
