A Tulsa Police officer is now out of the hospital after after being taken to a hospital following a fight with a suspect in February.
Officer Sean Love is now out of the hospital and recovering at home, Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum said in a social media post.
The Tulsa Police Department said on Facebook that he "was discharged from Saint Francis over the weekend" and is focused on recovering so he can return to full duty as soon as possible."
Officer Love was injured on February 26, 2021 when, according to officials, an ambulance company from outside of Tulsa called for assistance for an unruly patient that had worked their way out of restraints in the ambulance just outside of St. Francis Hospital.
Tulsa Police Captain Richard Meulenberg previously said that officers quickly responded to the scene to try and restrain the patient leading to a fight between TPD and the suspect.

Captain Meulenberg said one Tulsa Police officer fell unconscious during the fight and turned purple with no pulse.
EMTs and staff from the nearby hospital were able to quickly able to stabilize the officer.
The suspect who engaged officers in the fight was transported to where he was originally going.
