Legendary University of Oklahoma women's basketball Head Coach Sherri Coale has announced her retirement after after a historic 25 years leading the Sooner program
According to the university, Coale informed her team of her retirement on Wednesday morning.
Coale, a member of the Women's Basketball Hall Of Fame, holds the records for most wins in OU women's basketball history at more than 500.
Coale finished her collegiate career with a 512-293 overall record.
