Driver Identified In Fatal Accident On Highway 169

Tulsa police said a driver died after crashing their car into a tree on Highway 169 on Wednesday afternoon. According to police, witnesses saw the driver weaving in and out of traffic down 21st street. He then got on to Highway 169 where officers say he began driving at a high rate of speed. The driver, who police identified as Aaron Blackwell, left the roadway traveling southbound on Highway 169 and collided with a tree. Tulsa police said a driver died after crashing their car into a tree on Highway 169 on Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, witnesses saw the driver weaving in and out of traffic down 21st street. He then got on to Highway 169 where officers say he began driving at a high rate of speed.

The driver, who police identified as Aaron Blackwell, left the roadway traveling southbound on Highway 169 and collided with a tree.

Officers were called to the scene of the collision around 9 p.m. and pronounced Blackwell deceased at the scene.

Police said that Blackwell was the only person inside of the vehicle.
