Domestic Violence Intervention Services is launching a new texting tool to help abuse survivors discreetly access services.

If you feel like you are in a dangerous situation, text “SAFE” to 207-7777 between 8 p.m. and 1 a.m. This will put you in contact with a DVIS employee who can help you get to safety if needed.

If you text the number outside of those hours, you will get an autogenerated response that will point you to the DVIS 24-hour information and crisis line.
