Oklahoma Senator James Lankford will travel to the southern border to tour facilities holding unaccompanied minors trying to migrate into the country. The Senator continues to call out the Biden administration for their handling at the border.
Senator Lankford recently called the situation a “humanitarian crisis.” On Thursday, Senator Lankford will travel to Texas after previously spending time this month at the border in Arizona.

Senator Lankford said facilities in Arizona are packed with people under the age of 17 who tried to cross the border. He said a lack of transparency from the Biden Administration is why he will head south again.
“It’s hard to be able to get a good read because the Biden team has blocked all media from being able to get into those facilities,” said Senator Lankford. “I’ve got to get down there and be able to see it and to be able to walk through it.”
News On 6 will have continuing coverage of the Senator’s visit.
