12-Year-Old Florida Boy Runs Mile To Honor Fallen Washington Co. Deputy

A 12-year-old boy from Florida is showing his support for a Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy who was killed on the job.

Deputy Kyle Davis died last week after a fight with a suspect in the jail.

Monday night, Zechariah Cartledge ran one mile while holding a flag in honor of Davis. Cartledge works with a nonprofit that seeks to raise awareness of the risks of serving in law enforcement.

He has done similar runs for three years now.
