Gilcrease Museum To Close For Demolition, Construction Of New Facilities

The Gilcrease Museum will close its doors on July 5 as it prepares to tear down and replace its facilities.

The current building will be demolished, and construction will begin on a new museum this summer.

The City of Tulsa said the new building will better display the museum’s $2 billion collection. The project should take two to three years.
