A veteran is in the hospital after being assaulted at a Tulsa bar nearly two weeks ago.

Scott Graham has been in the hospital for two and a half weeks fighting for his life.

"The guy walked up behind him, clocked him on the head, knocked him out cold, and Scott's head hit the wall and evidently, from what I was told, he was dead when he hit the ground," Karen Dotson, Graham’s girlfriend, said.

Dotson said he had been arguing with a man at a Tulsa bar, but it never got physical. She said that's until Graham went to the bathroom and was hit on the left side of his head.

"Scott is a veteran, he's deaf in that ear anyway, he never heard it coming," she said.

Dotson said Scott has a fractured skull, he's had three surgeries, and his heart has stopped a total of six times.

She said every day is a battle.

"He can’t talk, he can barely open his eyes, I saw him move his legs for the very first time since then," Dotson said.

Dotson said she and Graham have been together for 13 years, and he means the world to her. She is praying every day he gets better.

"But to think about what he's going through, and I can’t, I can’t do anything, I would gladly trade places with him," Dotson said.

Police are investigating what happened.

There is a GoFundMe account set up for Graham, if you'd like to donate, click here.
