OHP Troopers Identify Driver Involved In Fatal Crash Near I-244, I-44 Interchange

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a fatal accident near the I-244 and I-44 western interchange early on Thursday morning.

According to troopers, the driver, who was identified as 45-year-old Mark Owens, was traveling westbound on I-244 when he left the roadway to the right, struck a sign and continued on and struck a bridge support.

Troopers said that Owens was pronounced dead at the scene by EMSA officials.
