Veteran Salute: William Phelps

News On 6 is continuing to recognize veterans across Green Country who are making a difference in their communities.

Today, we're recognizing William Phelps.

Bill joined the Army in 1957 because he wanted to serve his country and create a better life for himself and his family.

He served as an aircraft mechanic in the U.S. and in Germany before working at Tinker Air Force Base.

Bill's kids said he still encourages them to make a positive difference in everything they do.
