A Rogers County family was displaced after their home caught fire overnight.

Limestone and Verdigris firefighters say just after 10 p.m. on Tuesday night they got a call from a driver on Highway 20 stating that when they looked down over Keatonville Hill, they could see what looked like a house fire.

When firefighters arrived they said the house was fully engulfed in flames but no people or pets were inside.

Crews did have to bring in extra water through a tank truck in order to have enough to fight the fire.

The woman who lives in that home told News On 6 that she had been staying with her daughter when the house caught fire thankfully but said it is a devastating situation because her father built the house 45 years ago and now it’s gone.

Firefighters said the cause of the fire is unknown at this time and the State Fire Marshal will take over the investigation.
