A longtime Tulsa tailor who survived both the Holocaust and COVID-19 turns 100 years old Wednesday.
He’s been surrounded by family and friends all day at the Zarrow Pointe Retirement Center.
Ray’s Tailor Shop was a staple in Tulsa and the owner, Sherman Ray, has quite a few friends and family to celebrate him.
Ray was born in Poland in 1921 and was assigned a May 5 birthday when he came to the U.S. He survived concentration camps when he was just a teenager.
He also survived COVID-19 in December.
