A Tulsa man says he saved two people after he noticed them drowning in Keystone Lake over the weekend.
He said he jumped in with life jackets to help. Quinton Lambert said it was just instinct to jump in and save a man and boy, and he said he would do it all over again. Quinton is a father of 5 and said going out on the boat is his family's favorite thing to do.
"When you have five kids you got to take them to the boat," he said.
Quinton took a few friends out to Keystone Lake for a test run on his boat on Saturday.
He said the winds were high and the waves were powerful.
"We see this boat, I cruise over to see a little kid on the back waving his hands," said Quinton.
Quinton said he didn't think anything of the kid in the boat until they heard a call from the water.
"My buddy Austin faintly heard 'help,' and we looked again, and it was a little kid held up in the air," said Quinton.
Quinton said a man was holding the boy up and gasping for air. Neither were wearing life jackets.
"I went overboard with some lifejackets," he said. "It's crazy-- the dad was going underwater, and I put the jacket under him and got him back up."
Quinton said his friends took care of the man and boy before they got back on their boat and left. Now, Quinton wants to know who he saved so he can see how they're doing.
He said he is so thankful to have been in just the right place and possibly save two lives.
"I did what I was supposed to do, didn't overreact or underreact," he said. "It was amazing."
