The Oklahoma City-County Health Department will be at John Marshall High School from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday for a Pfizer vaccine pod.

While many spots have been filled, there are still appointments available.

This weekend's pod is a partnership with Oklahoma City Public Schools, Casady School and Harding Chart Preparatory High School.

Initially focused on targeting 16 through 18-year-olds, that has changed some now that Pfizer vaccine is available for Oklahomans 12 and up.

"The more people who can get vaccinated, the better off we will be,” OCCHD public information officer Molly Fleming said. “Now, 64,000 kids will be eligible to get vaccinated.”

Anyone aged 12 through 17 who plans to get vaccinated at this weekend's pod must have parental or guardian consent first before getting the shot.
