One person was in the hospital and another has died on Friday morning after two separate accidents overnight involving pedestrians.
According to Tulsa police, the first accident took place after a group of three kids attempted to steal from a food truck near 21st Street and 129th East Avenue.
Police said that kids attempted to steal from the truck before running away just before 10 p.m. on Thursday.
According to police, one of the kids was then hit by a car and later died. Police said that the driver of the car then fled the scene.
The two other kids involved in the incident were not injured.
Police are now investigating both the crash and the theft.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to a second accident that occurred on Thursday night.
According to the OHP, the accident took place in the westbound lanes of I-44 near Harvard Avenue around 10:30 p.m.
According to troopers, a man was walking northbound across the westbound lanes of I-44 when he was struck by a car.
The man was taken to the hospital with several injuries.
Troopers said that the driver of the car was questioned at the scene and released.
