A big moment for Oklahoma State baseball as a former president comes to O’Brate Stadium.

Former President George W. Bush will be in Stillwater Thursday for the Cowboys’ game against New Orleans. He will throw out the first pitch before the game.

Bush was supposed to throw out the first pitch the weekend NCAA sports were canceled last year.

OSU Head Coach Josh Holiday said it will be a memory his team will never forget.

“He’s going to take some time to speak to our team before the game, which is really awesome. This is a really inclusive trip for him in that he is really sharing himself and his love for baseball with all of us, and that’s really cool,” Holiday said.

Holiday also said it’s been a bit different this week as they prepare for the Privateers.

“Secret service walking around the last couple days and that’s certainly not normal. We’re excited to have a ballpark that’s hopefully going to be full of excited people and obviously important people,” Holiday said.

Thursday fisrt pitch is set to take place at 5:49 p.m. and the game begins at 6.
