Tulsa Police said a teenager is in critical condition after a shooting in a mobile home park near Admiral and Mingo. Officers are still searching for the suspect.

Police said the victim was shot in the chest, then ran down the street, knocking on doors for help before someone called police.

The shooting happened around 5:20 p.m. Monday at the Carriage Village Mobile Home Park in Tulsa. Tulsa Police say officers and paramedics got to the scene shortly afterwards to start treating the teenager.

"It looked like he might've been in some trouble there for a minute, but it's my understanding now that he's stabilized. He's still critical but it looks like he's going to survive," said Lt. Brian Blair with the Tulsa Police Department.

Officers haven't released the victim's name, but they said he's likely 15 to 17 years old.

The victim went into surgery this afternoon and is recovering.

Officers say he did not cooperate with the investigation and said a language barrier is making things harder.

"We're getting some of our translators out here to help us talk to the witnesses to get a better understanding of what happened," Tulsa Police Captain Richard Meulenberg said.

Police are still working on a suspect description and more information on the motive for shooting.

This is a developing story.
