The deadline for most Oklahomans to apply for assistance from FEMA or the U.S. Small Business Administration has come except for those living in Muskogee County.
Muskogee County residents have until June 24, 2021, because the county was added to the declaration 12 days before the registration deadline. Those with uninsured losses after the February winter storm can apply by visiting DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-3362 (TTY: 800-462-7585). The toll-free phone lines operate daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. CDT.
Tuesday, May 25 is the deadline for the 17 Oklahoma counties designated for federal assistance. Those counties were Canadian, Carter, Cherokee, Comanche, Cotton, Hughes, Jefferson, Le Flore, McIntosh, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Okmulgee, Osage, Pittsburg, Stephens, Tulsa, and Wagoner.
FEMA says those applying for assistance need to provide the following:
