Tulsa city leaders announced a first-of-its-kind initiative for entrepreneurs this week.
It’s called the Greenwood Entrepreneurship Incubator. Mayor G.T. Bynum said the city council will vote next week to approve $4 million to redevelop the Morton Health Center near Pine and North Greenwood. It will be turned into a space where entrepreneurs can bring their ideas to life.
"We recognize that building wealth here in our community particularly in parts of our city that haven't had the kind of equal opportunity that should have been there historically we want to be building wealth in those areas,” Bynum said.
The hub will be operated by the Tulsa Economic Development Corporation.
