Developer Discusses Ideas, Inspiration Behind ‘Greenwood Rising XR’ App

This weekend, people from all across Oklahoma and even around the country will take time to commemorate the centennial of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre.

A new app released this week offers users the chance to take a virtual journey through Tulsa’s historic Greenwood District when Black Wall Street was a beacon of wealth and hope for Black Tulsans before the massacre.

The app is called Greenwood Rising XR and the app’s developer, KJ Jackson, joined News On 6 to discuss the app.
