The national leaders of 100 Black Men of America are in Tulsa to commemorate the centennial of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre.
The group is focused on supporting and inspiring young men. Monday, the group focused on men’s health, urging Black men to get more active and lose weight.
“Becoming aware of those numbers actually saved my life, because I was unaware that my blood pressure was at stroke level, when I felt like I was fine,” David Harris with 100 Black Men said.
The group plans on attending Monday night’s candlelight vigil at Greenwood and Archer.
