The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics is investigating illegal marijuana sales after agents found 20 pounds of California-grown marijuana during a traffic stop
Agents say the suspects were delivering the product to several dispensaries across the state last week for re-sale, then driving the cashback to California. Oklahoma law prohibits dispensaries from selling out-of-state marijuana.
“Allegations of illegal, out-of-state marijuana being moved through Oklahoma dispensaries is a common complaint we receive from within the medical marijuana industry. My agency is dedicated to protecting our citizens and our law-abiding medical marijuana businesses that are being harmed by the criminal actions of those who try to sidestep the provisions of SQ788,” said OBN Director Donnie Anderson
OBN agents are still investigating all the people and dispensaries involved, and say no charges or arrests have been made.
