Travelers will now have another choice when it comes to flying as the first-ever Breeze Airways plane will depart from Tulsa International Airport on Friday morning. The new carrier announced three nonstop routes out of Tulsa last month.
The first flight will depart Tulsa at 9:45 a.m. on Friday bound for Tampa. On July 15, nonstop flights to San Antonio and New Orleans will also be added.
Tulsa is one of the first of 16 different cities Breeze Airways will fly out of. The airline becomes the seventh option for travelers in the market.
A news conference and ribbon cutting are scheduled ahead of the first flight at 8:30 a.m. on Friday.
