Memorial Service To Be Held For Fallen Collinsville Police Officer

A memorial service will be held on Monday to honor the life of a Collinsville Police Officer who died during a car crash in Afton.

Officer Chad Goodner died last week during a car accident when investigators say he was driving near Afton and crashed into a piece of large farming equipment. The crash killed Officer Goodner and the passenger with him. Another passenger was taken to the hospital.

Recently, Officer Goodner served as a reserve officer after being deployed to Afghanistan as a forward observer.

Friends on social media say Officer Goodner spent his life serving others through the military, multiple law enforcement agencies and in the mental health field.

Officer Goodner was 48-years-old and had been with the Collinsville police department for eight years.

The memorial service for Officer Goodner will take place in Owasso on Monday at 1 p.m.
