Jury selection begins this week in Cleveland County in a high-profile case.

Max Townsend is accused of hitting and killing three high school students in February 2020 crash in Moore. Townsend could face life in prison if he's convicted.

In total there are 10 charges against him including three counts of second-degree murder for the deaths of Rachel Freeman, Yuridia Martinez and Kolby Crum.

Investigators said he was drunk and left the scene.

The state has a potential list of 132 witnesses in the trial including the parents of the three victims.

Last week, Townsend's attorney asked for dozens of the witness testimonies to be thrown out, along with other evidence like aerial footage from the scene from Bob Mills SkyNews 9, police body camera footage, scene photographs and 911 calls.

The judge overruled the motion and said it was too broad. However, she did note if something were to come up during the trial that is more specific, then it would be discussed.

Jury selection is scheduled to begin Tuesday.
