A warehouse fire in Turley Wednesday resulted in a big response from fire crews.
According to the Tulsa Fire Department, crews got the call of a building fire near East 61st Street North and North Xanthus Avenue around 9:45 a.m.
Tulsa Fire Chief Andy Little said that it started after a type of tar inside the building caught fire, and the flames were close to igniting a 1,200 gall tank of paint thinner.
Little said crews had to be careful not to get overheated because temperatures were well into the 90s and the heat from the flames in the metal building only made it hotter.
Crews were able to use foam to put out the flames.
According to officials, 10 fire companies were on the scene battling the fire.
