Oklahomans can apply for the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission's back-to-work incentive program starting on Monday.
The initiative offers $1,200 to anyone who returns to work and works at least 32 hours a week for six weeks.
OESC Executive Director Shelley Zumwalt said it has around 200,000 people WHO have not returned to the workforce and there are 37% more job openings in the state than it had pre-pandemic.
"We're excited because the number keeps going down and hopefully we'll have a sub-four number here in the next couple months," said Zumwalt.
Extra federal unemployment benefits ended this weekend in Oklahoma.
The OESC said the state's unemployment rate is getting closer to pre-pandemic levels, falling 4% in May.
Applications will be open on the OESC website.
