The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for most of Northeast Oklahoma.

The watch runs until 12 a.m. Sunday and includes areas of Adair, Cherokee, Craig, Creek, Delaware, Kay, Lincoln, McIntosh, Mayes, Muskogee, Noble, Okfuskee, Okmulgee, Ottawa, Pawnee, Payne, Rogers, Tulsa and Wagoner counties.

Chief Meteorologist Travis Meyer says things could start to get stormy around 5 p.m. for the western parts of that group. Large hail, damaging wind, and heavy rain should be expected.
