City leaders in Broken Arrow are hosting an open house-style public forum for people living in Broken Arrow to learn more about upcoming road projects. Maintenance, rehabilitating and widening to some roads on the north side of town are expected to take place over the next six years.
The City of Broken Arrow and Tulsa County officials are spearheading the different projects north of the Broken Arrow Expressway. City Manager Michael Spurgeon told News On 6 the projects will help accommodate a growing city and will help ease traffic to area businesses.
Spurgeon said the projects will be paid for by bond issues approved in 2014 and 2018. He also said at least two of the projects will be paid for through federal grants.
The forum for the public to learn and discuss the projects will be at Broken Arrow High School’s Media Center from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening. Similar meetings about the projects are expected to be scheduled at later dates.
