Police: Family Of Young Girl Found In Tulsa Reached Out To Officers

A 5-year-old girl has reunited with her mother after being found walking down the street near 11th and highway 169 by herself on Monday night.

According to Tulsa police, a man flagged officers down outside the Mingo Valley Division around 9 p.m. after they say the man found the little girl dressed in a princess dress and a hoodie walking in the dark by herself.

Police say officers took her inside and tried to get information about where she lived and who she was, but they say she was not able to give that information.

Officers posted the girl's picture to their Facebook page asking the online community for help in identifying her, but the girl's mother ended up calling the police to report her child missing about two hours later.

Police say they are now questioning the mother to find out why and how this happened, but have reunited the little girl with her mom.
