Tulsa Firefighters Rescue Woman From Arkansas River

Emergency crews are on the scene working to rescue a person who is swimming in the water near the low water dam near Tulsa's Gathering Place.

TULSA, Oklahoma -

A woman was rescued from the Arkansas River by the Tulsa Fire Department.

She was pulled out near I-44 and Riverside, downriver from where she went in. The 911 call came from Gathering Place, where a woman was seen on the low water dam and eventually went into the water.

News On 6 has video of firefighters who worked to contact and get to the woman. She was on a sandbar at one point, then jumped into the water to get away from them.
