If you're curious about how many people are vaccinated in your area, now there's an easy way to find out.
A state-wide map shows how many people are vaccinated by zip code.
"The more information people have just helps them make that decision for themselves and their family," said Ashlie Casey, Program Director for 211 Eastern Oklahoma.
211 Eastern Oklahoma is the 24/7 COVID-19 state hotline run by the Community Service Council.
A new map launched this week showing vaccination rates by zip code. The areas with the lowest rates are in red, which is shown in more rural areas along the eastern border. Zipcodes in midtown and downtown areas of Tulsa have the highest rates, 50 to 60 percent.
That includes Jim Heath, who lives in Tulsa and is fully vaccinated.
"But I don't think it's going to affect me one way or the other because I'm just going to go ahead and continue to live my life. Since I've had the vaccine, I feel like I can get out and do things that I want to do," Heath said.
The data comes straight from the Oklahoma State Department of Health and is updated every day. The map even shows you the percentage of people who have one dose.
"I think it will help people to maybe if they need to know about travel and where they want to go within the state of Oklahoma and maybe what precautions they need to take," Casey said.
Casey says this month, the number of people calling 211 has doubled, with most asking where to get tested. She says the map can benefit both people who are vaccinated and people who aren't.
"It's a personal choice. But we want to make sure that people have the information so they can make that informed decision," Casey said.
