Oklahoma State and Tulsa's men's basketball programs are preparing to take part in a brand-new nonconference tournament this winter in Oklahoma City.

The Cowboys will square off against the USC Trojans while the Golden Hurricane will tussle with North Texas in the inaugural Compete 4 Cause Classic Dec. 21 at Paycom Center.

OSU is coming off an NCAA Tournament appearance last season, as is USC, who reached the Elite Eight in 2020-21. UNT will make the trip up Interstate 35 following its own berth in the 2021 NCAA Tournament.

According to the Compete 4 Cause Classic's website, the tournament is "rooted in service, inspiring student-athletes to use their gifts to impact and improve the lives of people in the community."
