First Lady Sarah Stitt Hands Out School Supplies To Foster Kids In Tulsa

Oklahoma first lady Sarah Stitt is making sure foster families are ready to go back to school.

Stitt was at Gathering Place Thursday where she handed out school supplies to kids.

“They have a choice of whatever backpack they want and it’s not a hand-me-down,” Stitt said. “It’s a huge blessing, when you watch these kids’ faces light up, it’s amazing.”

The first lady said as a mother of six, she understands the financial burden school supplies have on families.
