Friday is the last day to drop off school supplies at the Broken Arrow Police Department to help kids get ready for the school year.

Overall, nearly 1,000 backpacks will be given out to kids on Saturday at the Back to School Bash. Broken Arrow Police has been accepting school supplies donations for the last couple of weeks. All of the supplies will be taken to the Back-to-School Bash at the Assembly at Broken Arrow

There will also be around 40 vendors on hand that include haircuts, immunizations, vision screenings and police will be giving out tips on school safety. Organizers will also be raffling off a $200 Old Navy gift card and giving out restaurant coupons.

The event goes from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. There is a box in the front lobby at the police station where you can drop off items until 11 p.m. on Friday. If you want to donate, the police depart asks that people only donate new items.
